March 26, 2008: Police began a hunt for a sniper who shot at cars along Interstate 64 in Virginia. The following day, Slade Woodson was arrested for the crime. At least four cars were hit by sniper fire. Authorities closed 20 miles of the highway for 6 hours overnight and into the early morning on Thursday, March 27, while police searched for evidence in wooded areas, as well as exit and entrance ramps to the highway. It has been reported that more than one sniper is may be involved.
