Hurricane Gustav Republican Convention
The 2008 Republican Convention, taking place from September 1 to September 4, has been scaled back due to Hurricane Gustav's landfall in the Gulf Coast on September 1. Several events has been canceled and the first day of the convention was shortened from a planned seven hours to two and a half hour, mostly focused on fund raising for victims of the hurricane.
