How to Train Your Dragon is DreamWorks' animated 3-D film adaptation of the popular children's novel by British author Cressida Cowell. A Viking's young son must capture, and then train, a rather uncooperative dragon so he can be initiated into his father's tribe. The film's release date was pushed back to March, 2010 from November, 2009. DreamWorks' CEO Jeffrey Katzenburg has said the move was made because of the high number of 3-D films being released around that time, including Avatar and a remake of A Christmas Carol.
