But you don't have to go to a trendy bar in order to sample this Caribbean delight. All you need is a few simple ingredients and a little island spirit. Here's how:

Making a Mojito

  1. Place the Mint leaves into the Cocktail Shaker.
  2. Cut the Lime into quarters and squeeze the juice out of three of them into the shaker. Save the fourth slice for a garnish.
  3. Grind the contents of the shaker together with your Muddler. This will help extract the oils from the Mint leaves.
  4. Add in the Simple Syrup and the Rum.
  5. Fill the shaker 3/4 of the way with ice and then top it off with the Club Soda.
  6. Put the top back on the shaker and shake it vigorously until the mixture is sufficiently blended.
  7. Pour the contents of the shaker into your Mojito glass.
  8. Garnish with a lime wedge, mint leaf or sugar cane stick.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
