    • I like to put cream cheese and strawberries between two pieces of bread, then dip the sandwich in egg and fry. Instead of maple syrup try a reduction of strawberries, sugar and water(simple syrup)

      I had it this way once at a B&B in New Orleans and now I think of it as the only way to have french toast ;)

        • That sounds really decadent! I love strawberries, but my favorite for french toast is caramelized bananas on top with a tiny bit of syrup. It is very rich and delicious.
