Thanks for this great page! Just a small correction: rates for civil ceremonies at the County Clerk's office vary from county to county, just like marriage license rates. Here in L.A. they are only $25; you'll find both higher and lower rates in other counties (bearing in mind that not all counties are performing ceremonies anymore since June 17th.)

As we'll find out soon enough, divorce will not be exclusive to heterosexual marriages, so it might be good to place a link in the facts section about requirements for divorce in California, especially:

...you or your spouse must have lived in California for six months and in your county for three months before filing a petition to dissolve your marriage.

This comes from the State Bar of California: http://www.calbar.ca.gov/state/calbar/calbar_generic.jsp?cid=10581&id=2177 . So in short, there is no residency requirement to marry, but there is one to divorce. If a state doesn't recognize your marriage, that could make it very difficult to do so.

Not to put a damper on things, though; this is a huge step forward!
