On July 2, 2008, a 31-year-old Palestinian construction worker, Hosam Dwayyat, drove a bulldozer into a crowd of pedestrians in Jerusalem.1 Dwayyat was shot and killed by a member of the Israeli Defense Forces after ramming into several cars and overturning a city bus. Dwayyat killed three people and left over 40 people injured in the attack.
