Hillary Clinton Stimulus Package 2008
Hillary Clinton put forth a proposal for an
economic stimulus package while campaigning in Indiana, March 20, 2008. The plan follows a different strategy than the
previous stimulus package signed into law by President Bush in February. While the previous package focused on tax rebates and incentives, Clinton's plan aims to alleviate the
housing crisis with a $30 billion fund. The money would reportedly go toward programs to make use of foreclosed properties for the benefit of low-income renters and buyers, as well as help those in danger of losing their homes.
Goals of Package:
- Refinance mortgages
- Educate about mortgages
- Provide low income housing
