Hideki Matsui Married

Hideki Matsui tied the knot in a small ceremony in a New York Chapel. In an official announcement he revealed that his bride is a 25 year old civiliam working in a highly respected company. He met his wife while in Japan in 2006. To make things even more interesting, reportedly a bet was made on the first day of Spring Training between teammates
Derek Jeter,
Bobby Abreu and himself to see who would be able to get married first. The ammount of the bet is unknown.
Derek Jeter now has one year to get married, while
Bobby Abreu has six months to get married in order to win the bet. Both the players conceded defeat.His wife's identity has been kept so secretive that he has only allowed a crude sketch of her to be revealed to the public. Teammate
Derek Jeter knows the identity of his wife, and has joked that unless Matsui allows him to win the bet he will reveal her name to the press.
