Guide Note:Hibiscus, or rosemallow, is a large genus of about 200–220 species of flowering plants in the family of Malvaceae.

  4. The Hibiscus is used as an offering to God Kali and Lord Ganesha in Hindu worship
  5. The common garden Hibiscus is also known in some areas as the "Rose of Althea" or "Rose of Sharon"
