Hereafter
Dreamworks Pictures bought the rights to an original spec script titled
Hereafter by Peter Morgan. The script is being described as a "thriller" in the vein of
The Sixth Sense.
Variety.com reports that Morgan was paid a cash advance equivalent to a low-seven-figure amount against a multiple million dollar sum if the film ever gets made. Morgan was nominated for an
Oscar for his original spec screenplay for the 2006 movie
The Queen, which centered around
Queen Elizabeth II's struggles after the death of
Princess Diana.
