Henri Hendricks
Backup University of New Hampshire quarterback Henri "Hank" Hendricks was charged with murder, assault and battery in connection with the death of professional surfer Emery Kauanui Jr following a bar brawl in May, 2007. Hendricks was sentenced to 90 days in jail for being an accessory to the death of Kauanui. In November, 2008, Seth Cravens, the man who threw the punch which killed Kauanui, was found guilty of second degree murder.1

The Bird Rock Bandits
Hendricks was one of five men involved in the beating which killed Kauanui. Along with fellow defendants Eric House, Orlando Osuna, and Matthew Yanke, the four plead guilty to various charges relating the murder and were sentenced to terms ranging between 90 and 350 days in jail.2 The fifth defendant and alleged ringleader, Seth Cravens, faces up to 15 years in jail after being found guilty of second degree murder.1 All of the defendants were allegedly part of a local crew calling themselves the "Bird Rock Bandits." The gang, as prosecutors referred to the group, was named for an area near La Jolla.3
