Hells Angels
The Hells Angels are a group of avid motorcyclists with chapters located all over the world. The FBI has classified them as an outlaw motorcycle gang that functions as a crime syndicate. The group disputes this, calling the criminal members "one-percenters" in reference to the American Motorcyclists Association's estimation that 99% of motorcyclists are law-abiding.1

Mick Jagger Plot
In March 2008, the BBC reported that members of the Hells Angels had attempted to assassinate Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger in 1969. The plot allegedly originated in response to Jagger's statement that he would no longer use the Hells Angels as concert security after the death of a fan at the Altamont concert.4
The gang members reportedly attempted to reach Jagger's Long Island home by boat, but the plan was foiled when a storm knocked them overboard.5
