Hellboy 2: The Golden Army
Hellboy 2: The Golden Army is the forthcoming sequel to the 2004 film Hellboy, slated for release July 11, 2008. To meet the film's budget while maximizing its length and special effects, director Guillermo del Toro reportedly forfeited part of his own salary. Both films are based on Mike Mignola's comic book series of the same name. The first film received positive critical reviews and was a moderate hit, grossing $59 million. The new film, whose budget was around $100 million, will reportedly contain more creatures and computer animation.
