Hell Hath No Fury

"Hell hath no fury ..." is the beginning of a common phrase used to denote the fury of a woman who has been scorned in some fashion, usually in a relationship. In modern circles, the most common use of this terminology relates to the revenge attempted and/or achieved by women undergoing a divorce from their spouse. However, it can have broader applications and has been used to denote the revenge of women in the workplace towards current or former employers, boyfriends, even political candidates with whom there is no sexual relationship. Recent entries into the "women scorned" category include Heather Mills, Cecilia Sarkozy, Judith Regan, and even presidential candidate Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.
