Heather Hargett is a choir teacher at Mount Miguel High School in Spring Valley, California. Hargett was sued in 2008 by former student Jade Ray after Hargett allegedly called Ray "ugly" on Valentine's Day and kicked her in the buttocks in the process of removing her from the classroom.1
Ray alleged in the suit that Hargett intentionally excluded her from delivering singing grams on Valentine's Day because she was not wearing a choir t-shirt. When Ray questioned the cost of the $15 t-shirts, Hargett allegedly asked Ray to leave the classroom, called her a "brat" and "ugly," and kicked her.1
