On March 13, 2008, plans for the Gulfstream G650 were unveiled to the public by Gulfstream Aerospace, a General Dynamics subsidiary. Gulfstream began taking orders for the jet in April 2008, and the first test flights are scheduled for 2009.¹ The plane will be available in 2012, at a price of $58.5 million.^{1 2}
