The Greenland Sea is the main outlet from the Arctic Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean. It is bordered by Greenland and Iceland to the north and the Norwegian Sea to the south, which some consider it to be part of. Climate change is affecting sea levels around Greenland and scientists are examining glacier activity there closely. Greenland's economy partially depends on fishing the waters of the Greenland Sea . Greenland's glaciers are moving twice as fast as they were a decade ago. There is a concern that because of global warming the sea waters will rise, causing flooding along the coast and fish to retreat to the Atlantic Ocean. Currently, it is thought that sea water could rise one to two feet or maybe more in the near future, but the uncertainty of this is great.
