Gravy can be made by cooking any meat, vegetable or chicken reductions with liquid, such as milk, cream, water, or broth. Gravy is used ladled over mashed potatoes, stuffing and vegetables.

• 2 cups of milk or water
• 1/4 cup flour
• 1 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 teaspoon salt
• Pan drippings

1. Add a small amount of liquid of choice to the pan, this will allow the scraps from the bottom of the pan to loosen, creating small flavorful bits.
2. Slowly add flour.
3. During this phase the flour will clump, which is normal.
4. Add more liquid constantly stirring
5. Repeat process of liquid then flour until gravy is thick and bubbly.
6. Add salt and black pepper, stir over high heat.
7. Lower heat and simmer for 10 minute.
8. Use on mashed potatoes, biscuits, stuffing and vegetables.
