Grant Hill is a small forward for the Phoenix Suns. In his early years with the Detroit Pistons, he was considered potentially one of the greatest players in NBA History, and the heir apparent to Michael Jordan, with 7-straigh All-Star appearances. In his first six seasonys Hill scored 9,393 points, had 2,720 assists, and 3,417 rebounds, easily putting him on pace for a Hall of Fame career. But a devastating ankle injury in 2000, would sideline Hill for several frustrating years. He is now re-building his career as an important role player with more modest goals.

Grant Henry Hill was born in Dallas, Texas on October 5, 1972. He attended South Lakes High School, where he was selected as a McDonald's All-American. He would attend the Duke University. Where he would lead the Blue Devils to consecutive national titles in 1991 and 1992 and then to the championship game in 1994 where they would lose to the Arkansas Razorbacks Basketball team. He would pick up the ACC Player Of the Year award in 1994 before declaring himself eligible for the NBA Draft.

Hill would be selected with the third pick in the 1994 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons. He would explode onto the scene establishing himself as one of the elite superstars in the game, sharing the NBA Rookie of the Year Award with Jason Kidd. He would also be the first rookie to lead NBA All-Star fan balloting. He would go on to start for 7 NBA All-Star teams while with the Pistons. In his second season he would lead the league in triple doubles with 10 and would win a Gold Medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics. He would continue his dominance in the league until a devastating career threatening ankle injury in 2000. He would sign as a free agent with the Orlando Magic, but after seven injury filled years and whispers of retirement, Hill was past his prime. In 2008, he signed with the Phoenix Suns hoping to re-build his career as a important role player. He was able to play in 70 games in the 2008 season, the most since his injury.
