Gonzaga Davidson Bracket

The Gonzaga Bulldogs ended the season number 1 in the West Coast Conference, despite losing to the San Diego Toreros in the conference championship game 69-32. The Bulldogs finished with a 25-7 record finishing 13-1 in the conference. Going into their conference championship game against Elon, Davidson was ranked 23 in the country. The Wildcats were able to go undefeated in the Southern Conference, finishing 26-6 overall.

For Davidson to be competitive in the tournament, Stephen Curry must have a big game here and moving forward. The Wildcats have proven their tenacity, in the closely contested games against UNC, UCLA and Duke. Also, they have reeled off 22-straight victories during the course of the regular season. The Bulldogs enter the tourney for the 10th straight year, however, lost to San Diego in the conference championship. The keys for Gonzaga is in stopping Curry, specifically, Jeremy Pargo needs to have a good defensive game, which means not allowing Jason Richards to penetrate and kick out. The only reason I talk of Gonzaga having to stop Davidson is the fact that Vegas has the Wildcats' as a two-point favorite, despite the fact that they're a number 10 seed and Gonzaga's an 8!
