Gitmo on the Platte
On August 13, 2008, CBS4 News reported that a warehouse owned by the City of Denver had been set up as a detention center in preparation for the possibility of mass arrests at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. The warehouse, which protesters have dubbed "Gitmo on the Platte," is furnished with rows of cells, each of which are approximately 5 square yards in area.1
