Gingersnaps, also known as ginger biscuits, are a round drop cookie made with ginger and spices, rolled in sugar.
They are often eaten as desserts during the winter holidays. Gingerbread men are another popular ginger cookie variant.

Gingersnap Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup molasses
- Ginger, Allspice, Cinnamon, Baking Soda, Salt, White Sugar, Brown Sugar
Making Gingersnaps
- Mix all dry ingredients and beat in the butter.
- Once smooth, add molasses and the egg and continue stirring until smooth.
- Form the dough into desired shapes and place on a baking sheet. Gingersnaps are typically five to six inches in diameter.
- Bake in a 350 degrees oven for 10-12 minutes.
- Let cool and serve.
