A gift basket is a decorative basket filled with a collection of gifts often along a theme. Gift baskets allow an opportunity to give a gift that can personalized and in an attractive presentation. They can be purchased or made at home.

Consider the recipient of the gift basket and his or her favorite things. Use that passion as the central theme for the gift basket. Purchase items along the theme, that you know the recipient will appreciate. Often consumable items are used, such as soaps and food. Purchase a basket, large enough to hold all the gift items, and decorative accents, such as artificial flowers, ribbon and cellophane wrap. Arrange the larger items towards the back of the basket filling out the basket with the gift items and filling out the small spaces with smaller items. Decorate the basket as desired.
