Ghost Orchid

Guide Note: The Ghost Orchid is an endangered species in the flower world. They are very seldom seen in groups and are being sold for high prices. It is a perennial epiphyte--a plant that grows on or attaches to a living plant. Since it requires special conditions cultivation outside of its habitat fails. Because of it's rarity it is protected by the Florida's state and federal protection laws. It can be found in the swampy, moist areas of southwestern Florida and Cuba.
