German Clouet
Texas resident German Clouet and his wife of less than two months, Erika, were killed in a car accident on September 1, 2008. The Clouets were reportedly on their way home from a movie when their SUV was struck by a vehicle driven by Uriel Perez Palacios.1

The Suspect
Around 2:00 a.m., Uriel Perez Palacios was stopped by a police officer who suspected that he was driving while intoxicated. Palacios fled the scene and ran a red light before crashing into two SUVs, one of which was the Clouets'. It was later discovered that Palacios had a prior arrest record and a history of drunk driving.2 He has been charged with murder in connection with the Clouets' deaths.3
