There are several different kinds of vehicles in Gears of War 2. In addition to mechanical vehicles, players will also get a chance to ride on Reavers.¹

GOW 2 Vehicles

Derricks - These are large armored trucks equipped with chain guns. The vehicles are used to transport Gears deep into Locust nests.
Centaur Tank - This is a tank with monster truck wheel. It's name the "centaur" truck, because it's half-truck and half-tank, kind of like a centaur is half-human and half-horse.
Reaver - This is a creature that enemies will ride throughout the game. towards the end of the game, players will get a chance to ride one.
King Raven - This is an air transport vehicle. King Ravens can carry up to 12 Gears, and they are able to fly into battle zone to drop or pick up Gears.

Gears of War 2 DLC

Newer copies of Gear of War 2 will include a code that will allow players to download more maps for multiplayer play. People who bought the game early or who buy used copies won't receive this code. This has caused the company to come under some criticism from people who say that customers who already have the game should at least have the option to purchase the new maps.³
