Marcus Fenix Backstory

Marcus Fenix is a veteran soldier who began his military career as a promising young solider and went on to fight for ten years against the Locust Horde. One day, however, Marcus Fenix abandoned his post in a desperate attempt to save his father, Adam Fenix, a military scientist researching key information about the Locust. The mission ended in failure, as Marcus' father was gone and Marcus was tried and convicted of abandonment, sentenced to 40 years in the Jacinto Maximum Security Prison.

Four years later, Marcus was freed from prison by his friend Dominic Santiago and reenlisted in the military to rejoin the fight against the Locust. Given the rank of Sergeant, Marcus led the Delta Squad to victory and detonated the Lightmass Bomb, dealing a vital blow to the Locust Horde.
