How it Works
Because they can be large and difficult to maneuver, gardening tools may be difficult to sharpen with a tradition grindstone, or a stationary electric sharpener. GardenSharp, like other products made by AccuSharp, is a small, hand-held item about the size of a utility knife, with a shielded, internal grinding surface made of tungsten carbide. The user lightly scrapes GardenSharp across the edge of the gardening tool, making sure to grind the beveled (tilted) edge of the blade, and to only scrape in one direction (not back-and-forth). The product's official site warns to remove blades from power tools (such as clippers and lawn mowers) before attempting to sharpen them.
