GRID Car Classes

Guide Note

GRID is a racing game that is all about racing rather than focusing on the car. There are 43 different cars to choose from in total and 12 different classes of cars. Each of these classes have very different in-game handling and are replicated to match the handling of these cars in real life. There is no tuning of these cars, and the only customization you can do is paint them (except for the Porsche). Each of these cars are specifically designed for the tracks in the game.

Background

GRID was developed by Codemasters, which is the same company that did Create and Race for the Nintendo DS. Although the game is released June 3, there's a demo available on the official grid site for the PC. The game is similar to Project Gotham Racing 4 in that there is no fighting between cars or trying to take them out. Instead it's a traditional racing game where you simply out race the other players.
