GM Chrysler Merger
General Motors and Chrysler, giants of the once-dominant American auto industry, are considering a merger. Preliminary talks were first reported on October 10, 2008, and were said to involve Cerberus Capital Management, which owns over 80% of Chrysler stock and nearly 50% of GM's.1 Possibilities are reported to include the acquisition of Chrysler by GM.1
