Freedom's Watch is a non-profit organization largely funded by former members of the Bush Administration.¹ Their general goal is to promote a conservative political agenda, such as fighting against the legalization of controlled substances and raising awareness of the dangers of Islamic extremists.²

"Freedom's Watch was formed to promote the common good and general welfare of the American people by supporting mainstream conservative public policies... We also seek to create coalitions and collaborate with like-minded groups and individuals to further our common goals."²

In 2007, NBC declined to air an ad created by Freedom's Watch about thanking American soldiers overseas during the holiday season. The network's reason for rejecting the ad was that the display of the Freedom's Watch website went against an NBC policy on political and controversial advertising.³
