Guide Note: Footballs Offend Afghans refers to a U.S. Military publicity campaign gone wrong, in which U.S. troops dropped dozens of soccer balls from a helicopter. The balls were marked with flags, including that of Saudi Arabia, which bears the names of Allah and Mohammed. Kicking anything that bears the names of these religious figures is highly blasphemous to Muslims, unbeknownst to Military PR.
