Background
On February 7, 2008, World Wrestling Entertainment named Florida Championship Wrestling as its "official development training facility for talent around the globe."1
At that time, the FCW was just established by former wrestler Steve Keirn. It had its first show on June 26, 2007, a few months after the WWE's announcement. During the program, DH Smith won the FCW Southern Heavyweight Championship.2
Talent from FCW that have made it to the WWE main roster include Kofi Kingston, Nattie Neidhart, DH Smith and Ted DiBiase Jr.
