Guide Note
Flatbread is a variety of bread that is typically made without using yeast which leaves the bread flat in appearance. Flatbread is common in all parts of the world. It may have originated as far back as the time of Ancient Egypt. Many religions consume varieties of flatbreads during religious times such as the consumption of Matzo during Passover. In Christianity, flatbreads are consumed to celebrate the Eucharist. Different types of flatbread include tortillas, Focaccia, Naan, pancakes and many others.
