Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates is the sequel to Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for the Nintendo GameCube. It will feature 3D environments and voice acting.

Story

The story focuses on two fraternal brothers Yuri and Chelinka who can channel the power of magic crystals. Unfortunately there are some monsters and even darker beings afoot that are using the red crystals to destroy the lands. The twins are more involved than they realize and their journey is marked with moments of loss and pain. On the way they meet up with three friends and travel together to destroy the evil of the lands and protect the magic crystals.

Gameplay

Although there are technically four members in your party, Yuri and Chelinka only count as one since you need to work together to actually use the magic crystals. You can control any of the four members depending on what kind of combat you prefer. Yuri and Chelinka are the close combat melee fighters, Alhanalem is primarily a magic user, Gnash is a ranger/bowsman (and can double-jump), and Meeth is a melee fighter. She can summon an urn which she crawls into and then rolls into enemies. Besides their own fighting abilities, each character also has their own tribal ability. Yuri and Gnash can perform a very strong melee attack, Al can unleash a powerful area attack and create magical threads, and Meeth can create magic scrolls out of various crystals. There is also a multiplayer mode where you can connect with your friends and go to dungeons and quests together. The actual mechanics of the games remain the same.
