Risks and Treatments
While people may agonize over human acne for purely cosmetic reasons, acute cases of feline acne can constitute genuine health risks, including bleeding and severe infection. Any cat with a chronic or worsening case of chin acne should be taken to a veterinarian for treatment. Treatments may include topical cleansers, antibiotics and steroids, but only under the supervision of a vet.2
