Fast and Furious is the fourth installment in the successful Fast and the Furious film series. Scheduled for release in June 2009, the film reunites the main characters from the original The Fast and the Furious as well as "Han" (played by Sung Kang) from The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. The story follows Dom Toretto (played by Vin Diesel), a fugitive on the run, and former rival Brian O'Conner (played by Paul Walker) as they team up with Han to infiltrate a gang of heroin smugglers.

Vin Diesel is directing a short prequel to Fast and Furious featuring Michelle Rodriguez. The film will discuss some of the events in the life of Diesel's character between the first and fourth films in the franchise, in which Diesel did not appear.¹
