Guide Note

Faith No More was an experimental rock group whose music combined elements of Metal, Funk, Soul, Hip Hop, and Jazz. While the band went through a number of different lineup changes and personal disagreements during their career, the band's unique approach to music has made them one of the influential Hard Rock bands of the 1990s. The band broke into the mainstream with their 1989 album The Real Thing, which spawned the hit single and video "Epic". Their follow up, Angel Dust was critically acclaimed but did not match the success of their breakthrough album. The band broke up in 1998 so that the members could pursue other projects.
