Evan Rachel Wood is an actress and singer who got her start in 1994 in several made for television movies including In the Best of Families: Marriage, Pride & Madness and Search for Grace. She appeared on three episodes of the series American Gothic as Rose Russell. It was her role in the controversial 2003 movie Thirteen which led her to success. Wood was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Drama.

In 2007 Wood's relationship with rocker Marilyn Manson became public. The couple met at the Chateau Marmont Hotel. Wood admitted that it was Manson's use of black eyeliner that first attracted her to him. Wood is the inspiration for Manson's song "Heart Shaped Glasses" and appears in the music video for the song.
