Erica Jean's Press Bio from Erica Jean.tv:
Erica Jean was born in an army hospital in Ft. Belvore, Virginia…not too far from Alexandria. Erica’s dad was a career serviceman in the Navy for 27 years. During that time the family, including her mom, older brother, and family dog, would move all over the country about every three years. Living in different places from coast to coast gave Erica tremendous opportunities to make friends with people from various backgrounds.
While living in Los Alamitos, CA Erica took her first acting class in 7th grade and from there the passion for acting started to develop. She did various school plays until it was time to move to what looked like would be the last stop for awhile: Albuquerque, New Mexico. Erica’s dad decided to retire from the Navy and settle in the desert. After finishing high school and two years of college at the University of New Mexico, she did a student exchange for a year to Cal Poly Pomona. All the while continuing her acting training in the theatre. She then did a study abroad to Paris, France for 2 months and lived the Parisian lifestyle. Upon returning to the States she started taking Radio/Television classes at Mt. San Antonio College where she hosted hip-hop and rock shows and also received her degree in Radio/Television Production.
Shortly after graduating Erica moved to Los Angeles and started working in the industry in music videos and commercials such as McDonald’s and K-Swiss. She made her first national appearance as a regular cast member on MTV’s show Burned in 2003. After the show wrapped she then toured nationally with Here and Now Theatre Company and Teatro Nueva Alma, performing original theatre pieces at universities throughout the country.
Erica enjoys working in the theatre and has had the opportunity to work with Elizabeth Bell-Haynes in cooperation with Tri-Pi Theatre Company and TeAda Works in Santa Monica. She recently completed a 2 year Meisner program under David Blanchard in Los Angeles and is sharpening her improv training at Improv Olympic West in Hollywood.
You can catch Erica in an upcoming independent comedy, Pick Up Lines, directed by Rod Gee Munoz of the Wake Up Show and upcoming independent feature, Sugar Boxx, directed by Cody Jarrett.
