Erica Green

For more than four years after her death, the body of Erica Green was known only as "Precious Doe"; authorities could not identify the decapitated child found in a wooded area of Kansas City, Missouri, in 2001. In May 2005, police announced that "Precious Doe" was indeed Green. The three-year-old's mother, Michelle Johnson, and her husband (who was her boyfriend in 2001), Harrell Johnson, were charged with Green's murder.¹

Michelle Johnson was sentenced to 25 years in prison on October 22, 2008.
