Eragon
Eragon is a fantasy film based on a novel by Christopher Paolini. In the film, a boy discovers an egg containing a dragon named Saphira. After the death of his uncle, the boy and the dragon go on a quest for vengeance together. During this quest, he learns the skills of dragon riding and fighting from his companion, Brom.
Eragon received generally negative reviews upon its release (maintaining only a 16% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 38/100 on Metacritic.com), although the special effects were often singled out as being well done. The film grossed just under $250 million worldwide from its theatrical run.
