Temperament
As a social and active breed, the foxhound gets along well with other pets, horses and children, but since it is a true pack animal, it prefers the company of other dogs and living outdoors.2
Features
The foxhound has a short, hard coat that is usually a tri-color of black, white and tan, large brown eyes, rounded ears that lay flat against the head, a long tapered neck, absolutely straight, lean legs and a tail that is held up high.
