2008 Tour de France

Embrun is the departure town for stage 15 of the 2008 Tour de France. On July 20, cyclists will trek 185 kilometers eastward to Prato Nevoso, Italy.³

VeloNews reports that the route has long climbs and steep pitches, including a 16-kilometer uphill peddle into Prato Nevoso.⁴
