Queen of Sky
In 2003, Simonetti started her blog after her mother died of cancer. It allowed Simonetti to express how she was feeling.1
Delta Airlines Firing
Simonetti was suspended from Delta in 2004. Shortly thereafter she was fired over pictures she had posted on her blog.2 Following her dismissal she changed the title of her blog to "Diary of a Fired Flight Attendant."
Lawsuit
Simonetti filed a a lawsuit the following year. It contained allegations of sex discrimination and retaliation. Although Law.com states Simonetti's case was dismissed on October 28, 2005, she reports that it has been delayed due to Delta filing bankruptcy.3

Simonetti's blog was turned into the book, Diary of a Dysfunctional Flight Attendant: The Queen of Sky Blog.
