The Body
Macpherson has been one of the most popular models of the last quarter century. Her numerous modeling appearances have included work for Elle magazine (not named for her), Playboy, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Gq. Vogue, Shape, and most famously the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Macpherson was also the feature of a 1986 cover story by Time Magazine. A former co-owner of the Fashion Cafe with fellow models Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, and Christy Turlington, Macpherson was able to segue her popularity into acting. She has appeared in several films, including: Alice, Sirens, The Mirror Has Two Faces, and Batman and Robin. She also had a guest starring stint on the television series Friends as the love interest of Matt LeBlanc. Macpherson took her knowledge of lingerie from her days as a Victoria's Secret model to launch her own line in her native Australia called 'Intimates'.
