National Enquirer Reporter's Allegations
The reporters claim that in the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 22, 2008, security at the Beverly Hilton tried to stop them from questioning John Edwards and the woman they allege is his mistress, Rielle Hunter.
The reporters claim that as they tried to question Edwards, he hid in a public bathroom. They claim that a security guard threatened to break their camera and that "security also violated several statutes of the California Penal Code, including false imprisonment and preventing a guest from entering land."1 The National Enquirer says that the reporters were registered guests of the hotel and Edwards was not.1
Security Guard Confirmation
In an interview with FOX News, one of the security guards in question confirmed that the identity of the man he stopped tabloid reporters from chasing, was Edwards.2
