Edie Adams Dead
Edie Adams, the actress, singer and widow of pioneering comedian Ernie Kovacs, died at the age of 81 on October 15, 2008. Adams featured on Kovacs' TV show before the pair eloped in 1954. She won a 1957 Tony Award for her performance in the stage adaptation of the comic strip Lil' Abner. 1 Kovacs died in a 1962 car accident, leaving Adams with over half a million dollars in debt and three daughters, two of whom were from his previous marriage.1
