Eddie Ray Kahn

Tax adviser Eddie Ray Kahn, founder of American Rights Litigators (ARL), a Florida business that advised members on how to "legally" escape taxes, was sentenced to 10 years in prison on April 24, 2008. Kahn was a co-defendant in the Wesley Snipes Trial, along with Douglas P. Rosile. Snipes was a client of his. He was arrested in 2006, while in Panama, and flown back to Florida.

Tax Protester

Kahn was described by prosecutors as a tax protester. He ran two organizations that were described as illegal tax evasion schemes. Kahn defended himself in court, and refused to recognize the judge's authority. Upon sentencing, he told Judge Hodges, "For the record, your honor, I don't accept that."
